3027 - Jim Moves On
Quarters are so cramped at Kate’s that the baby has to sleep in the bathroom! Contractor Jim Caruk is enlisted to extend the family room and create a third story addition. Jim and his daughters have a BBQ and talk about moving- yet again. Across town, foreman Neil meets with the homeowner of a full renovation started before winter, that’s now suffering from the cold.
3028 - New Year's Eve
The fact that it’s New Year’s Eve doesn’t stop Neil and Giancarlo the framer, from working on the third floor addition where the roof has just come off. Over at the full reno, Jim meets with the homeowners and the designer to resolve a design dilemma.
3029 - Designer Dudes
The roof on the third floor addition finally goes up, while Neil and the homeowner have a date to pick out toilets. The designer guys pop by the job site to chat with Jim. Things can’t move swiftly enough at the full renovation- moving day is only a month away.
3030 - Baby Makes Three
Jim and Neil are busy painting when they start to vent about a nightmare job. On a positive note, Neil announces the happy news - he’s going to be a dad! Over at the full reno, it’s a chaotic moving day at the full renovation, as everyone scrambles with finishing touches
3031 - Stairway to heaven?
Neil painfully wrestles with a stubborn staircase at the third floor addition. Jim and Neil talk about the continuing saga of a nightmare job. Meanwhile at the finished full reno the inspector comes by to tell them it’s not over yet, there are a few things to be done outside to keep it up to code. But inside the full renovation has transformed into a dream house.
3032 - Not over till it's over
The third floor addition is near completion as Wayne and Neil tackle the stair railings. And the full reno that’s over...isn’t. Jim and Neil repair a neighbouring wall.
3033 - Rooms for all
At Kate’s it’s no more baby in the bathroom! The third floor addition is complete and everyone is pleased, especially baby in her new room. A full renovation has been underway and Neil has the task of putting in a post, but the weather’s not on his side.
3034 - Decisions, Decisions
At the full reno, the framing is starting to take shape. Jim and Neil battle with some basement posts and discuss the delays due to prolonged decision making. Jim and Neil “do lunch” to discuss the problems of a less than ideal client.
3035 - Full of surprises
Neil tries to track down the pesky raccoon that’s been dining on his leftovers and taken up residence at the full reno. Jim surprises Neil with a new car.
3036 - The Meeting
The slow decisions are taking their toll at the full renovation. At a big meeting, it becomes apparent the homeowners and Jim aren’t always seeing eye-to-eye. Neil’s moving house with a little help from family and friends.
3037 - Time will tell
Time is running out at the full renovation, and the tension is rising. The house is finally taking shape but are the homeowners pleased? Jim does a small kitchen and living room renovation with colours that pack a punch!
3038 - All's well that end's well?
The full renovation is finally finished, although all has not ended well. Jim and Neil are candid about a job gone sour.
3039 - Hog Town
It’s reno time again for Jim. He’s tearing down the house and starting fresh – from the ground up. Jim takes out the “hog” and goes south of the border for a Harley Davidson road trip. Neil introduces us to the little one - baby Max.
